The homeowners, a 61-year-old man and his 43-year-old wife, were asleep in their bedroom around 7 a.m. when they heard a noise. They assumed the sound was a family member returning home and ignored it, until the suspect entered their bedroom.The man and woman both grabbed weapons and held McCraney at gunpoint until police came.When police searched the home, they also found McCraney’s jacket on the couch. A loaded handgun was inside the jacket.
