Are you a law firm?
Yes, Protective Law Corporation is registered as a law corporation (#18250) with the State Bar of California.
David R. Duringer, JD, LL.M, is the shareholding attorney (CA Bar #143911). Also admitted in WA (#26872) though WA does not regulate law corporations.
Does the law corporation insulate the attorney from liability?
If you drop a .45 on your foot during a dry practice session and break your toe, maybe.
But an attorney is personally liable for any professional malpractice, and the law corporation does not change that.
We carry attorney professional liability insurance to protect ourselves and our clients.
How much does it cost to start the planning process?
Request a consultation now, and after we receive your completed estate planning questionnaire we will meet with you free of charge. We call this our “Design Meeting” because it goes way beyond a typical free consultation.
You will be quoted a fee at the meeting (within our published fee ranges, according to your goals and circumstances) but there is no obligation to go forward. Most people engage right away because of the value we offer.
