No one can argue with Jerry Miculek on speed or competition shooting.
But for real world defensive carry, I’ll stick with modified weaver. First, I see a possible safety issue with placing the support hand index finger in front of the trigger guard. Second, he dismisses too quickly the value of the weaver’s fighting stance, which is more stable and has a smaller profile. Third, he emphasizes trigger over sight alignment, yet sight picture is critical in the defensive context for a number of important reasons. Fourth, attaining the speeds he has with isosceles (no question, he is fast) requires much more practice than most people are willing to undertake, and high speeds can be attained much more easily with the superior recoil control of modified weaver.
