Florida is reputedly very pro-gun, a pioneer in shall-issue concealed carry, yet no Floridian bothered to return fire? The solution here is not to create more difficulties on travelers and disincentives to carry. The solution is to get rid of these gun-free zones pronto. And because concealed carry laws tend to foster these gun free zones, consider allowing open carry as an additional option. I’ve carried concealed routinely in airport non-secure areas (including baggage claim) in anti-gun California when picking up or dropping off family.
