Downtown Disney at Disney World was the site of a dangerous stampede on Christmas night, all because of a false rumor that shots were fired during an altercation at a restaurant.
If this crowd had been trained to arms, and therefore armed, the only running would have been toward the sound of gunfire, if any, and a crowd trained to arms would have actually known what real gunfire sounds like.
Panic kills, and that’s bad. Let’s ban panic.
There has been an incident at @DisneySprings. People started running and shoving us. It seems it was a shooting. So scary!

Just overheard a Disney CM tell another that "nothing happened, someone just thought they heard something" at Downtown Disney

Unique experience tonight of being in a very crowded place when someone thought they heard gunfire. Turns out nothing happened (1/2)

People were terrified. We were locked in a restaurant, no info from anyone, people crying. Panic is justified in the country we live in.
