This may sound heretical, but be very wary of NRA firearm training.
The NRA is unparalleled as a political powerhouse, and is hugely important in teaching firearm basics and launching new certified firearm instructors.
But if you don’t go beyond the basics taught by NRA, your life is in peril.
Just watch the video above and note how quickly the finger goes on the trigger immediately after the weapon clears the holster, well before the handgun is pointed in, even before the support hand comes together in a safe two-handed grip.
[Another similar video uploaded by the NRA shortly before this one showed a woman drawing and shooting one-handed, support hand resting safely but uselessly on upper chest. Again, the trigger finger went on trigger far too soon to be safe. That video has since been removed.]
