Investigators say during the attempted robbery, one of the suspects struck the clerk’s 14-year-old son, who was in the store at the time, in the head with the crowbar, injuring the teen. That’s when deputies say the clerk fired shots at both of the suspects. One of the gun shots hit Cornelius Lamar Harrison, 24, from Greensboro, North Carolina in the upper torso and later died.
