SAN DIEGO – A Garden Grove resident died early Sunday morning after getting run over by a car during his birthday party in San Diego, police said.Jonathan Carlyle Merkley and friends were drinking alcohol at the Staybridge Suites hotel in the 6600 block of Mira Mesa Boulevard when a female party-goer decided to leave around 12:30 a.m., said San Diego police officers Robert Heims.Merkley apparently did not want her to leave and lay down in front of her white BMW.The woman did not stop – and ran over his chest, Heims said.
