BTW, there is no such thing as a “gun accident” — this was a negligent discharge.
Stop a moment and think whether your family is trained at least in the basic rules of gun safety. I can tell you it is very common for family members with absolutely no training to grab firearms and move them around after a parent dies. That should scare the hell out of anyone who cares about their family. Get trained.
Meisner, authorities said, was moving a rifle that was stored inside a case in a closet in the couple’s Studio City home. As she lifted the rifle, another item within the case shifted and hit the trigger, causing the weapon to fire, authorities said.
