SB 707, which took effect January 1 of this year, generally bans concealed carry licensees from carrying at school but has an exception for retired cops. Even cops can get caught up in our complicated gun laws, arrested by other cops! None of which helps in the fight against terror.
According to state law, firearms are not allowed on school campuses, although there are several exemptions to the law, one of them pertaining to honorably retired peace officers who are authorized under a permit to carry a concealed or loaded gun.
