Arming teachers is a great idea, but doling out guns is the wrong approach. Teachers should carry only if they are passionate enough about firearm training to get their own handgun that is right for them, not one selected by committee.
Dec. 16, school board members in Keene, TX, voted not simply to allow armed teachers, but also to provide the handguns teachers will carry.
