gungrab-300x80-300x80-1-300x80-1Pretty amazing reversal of the AG’s ill-fated attempt to cancel 25 reciprocity agreements. Shows the political prowess of concealed carry. Should strike fear in the heart of any gun grabber west of the Sierras. Gavin? Kamala? Are you listening? Now the Democrat Governor of Virginia has been forced to accept a “deal” (for which he got very little in return) in which Virginia will accept the permits of twice as many states, Utah-style, regardless whether there is reciprocity. Permits issued by all other states will be accepted beginning July 1. So you can even use your California CCW despite the fact California will have to be dragged kicking and screaming to reciprocity. This deal is so stunning I could not believe it at first, had to look at the actual bills, SB 610 and HB 1163, which are identical (and very short and easy to read).

Congratulations, Virginia! And thank you.

[Update: Not sure about this, but there may be an issue with Virginia recognizing CA CCW since our licenses are issued by local agencies (typically sheriffs) and this appears not to satisfy VA’s requirements described here: http://www.vsp.state.va.us/Firearms_Reciprocity.shtm ]
